“I have come to lead you to the otherside.”
Not satisfied after the success of our first run, we have decided to make our most popular coffee, better. With notes of smooth chocolate and roasted almond this coffee has been carefully roasted to reveal a subtle citric nuance to balance the flavour. Sequels are often disappointing, however, we’ve decided to break the trend. This coffee is inspired by a more conscious choice in the sustainability of the process, whilst also drawing on the local culture to inspire our story and celebrate the region. With a light to medium roasting profile and a fully washed processing method to highlight the unique balance of flavours that this region produces.
The Wayfarer stands alone, unbound by chains of mediocrity they always lead the pack. In the Maya Q’qnjobal dialect in the region Waykan means “light that shines in the sky at night.” The perfect analogy for the Wayfarer, who shines where others seek to hide in the shade.
Our Wayfarer Waykan offering is chosen as a pristine example of the dynamic character of coffees from Huehuetenango, with their crisp acidity reminiscent of lemon, grape, or apple, and a balance of toffee and sweet almond.
The light that shines in the sky at night. The Wayfarer decides to shine where others seek to hide in the shade.
